Review: During these not so easy days of world economical recession this movie – Up In The Air seems to be much more dramatic and present to day screenplay than some people can think. The possibility of being fired is still the major danger for big part of population of U.S.A. and this fear reflects in the attitude to main character of that interesting movie. Ryan Bingham has a pretty unique job, he is doing the work that bosses of big companies don’t want to do themselves for may reasons. He so so-called corporate downsizing consultant and he is traveling all around America and bring bad news to the people – he informs them that they are fired. Ryan is the real pro in his occupation, he tries to do his best and in his intentions to do this process as smooth as possible, but still for some people it becomes the real tragedy since they don’t have an idea what would happen to their lives and families after. Ryan is traveling around his country almost three hundreds days per year, all his life consists of rotation of arrivals and departures and he simply can’t imagine his life without everyday flights. Also he has a very special dream – to reach million flight miles and obtain unique card from American Airlines. However his own job becomes endangered quite soon as his own boss is excited about new technology of firing people – via video conference. Ryan has to take young 23 years old Natalie who is pushing this idea for a couple of weeks trip in order to show her all the specifics of his jobs. He tells her lots of travel secrets and exposes importance of his personal message to all fired people. Also on his way he meets stunning woman who live very similar life of business traveler and almost instantly falls in love… George Clooney in the role of Ryan manages to express all his talents and charms. This movie allows him to fully show his skills in emotional screenplay and turn something that should be easy comedy into more serious film that makes us think about our lives. The way how Clooney behaves when he finds himself on the other side of the boat reflects his talent of a great actor. So if you enjoy watching vivid movies and especially like George Clooney – that is the film for your bets movies collection.
